Adult support strengthens girls’ experiences, and allows them to grow in a safe, nurturing environment. Nearly 100 adults are already working within our very active Neighborhood at many different levels. There are so many opportunities to plug in for a few hours, a day, once a month or a couple of times a year.

If you’re wondering what our volunteers are like, be assured that
they’re not all outdoor enthusiasts with experience in crafts and
working with groups of girls, by a long shot! Our volunteer group is
made up of busy professionals as well as multi-tasking
stay-at-home-moms. Some share their work expertise and skills, some a
personal interest, while others enjoy going on outings or helping with
outdoor activities. Whatever your interest, contact us at Volunteer, we're interested in YOU!

Although volunteering in Girl Scouting probably means something different to each person, there is undeniably a common ground—the desire to help girls become courageous, confident individuals with character! Match your expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to the needs of our overseas committee and volunteer. You will get the support, instruction, and guidance necessary to fulfill your role successfully as a Girl Scout volunteer and help guide girls through their Girl Scout journey. Your service will be recognized and greatly appreciated not only by
USAGSO-PARIS, but particularly by all the girls who you will help to
grow strong!
Chaperone
Accompany girls on an event that lasts a few hours. Interested in dinosaurs? You could assist on a fun, informational trip to a natural history museum or if you work in an office all day, how about an opportunity that gets you outside – on a hike or a campout?
Mentor
Do you have specific experience that could help girls make good value-based decisions? Perhaps you might act as a discussion facilitator in a small group setting on health issues or peer pressure, for example.
Preteen and teen Girl Scouts organize their activities around their interests. Could you accompany girls to a restaurant so they could improve their spoken command of one of the foreign languages they study? Advise them on skin care? Introduce them to an exercise program? Give them tips on writing letters of motivation and/or helping them to prepare for college or internship interviews?
Troop Volunteer
Work directly with girls, as a Girl Scout troop volunteer you get the opportunity to awaken in girls their personal leadership abilities and the promise to develop to their full potential.
Program Level Consultant
Level Consultants
(Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior and Ambassador) have experience with the Girl Scout program. They are a source of information on how troop government, girl planning, and Girl Scout activities fit together, as well as ideas unique to our Paris location.
They are also in charge of managing all requests and placements of girls in troops or groups for their levels.
Adult Learning Facilitator
Get involved with the Adult Training program, the benefits of training for adults themselves are personally rewarding: opportunities to develop their leadership, organizational skills and talents; enriched interactions with girls; sharing of new program activities and best practices for implementation; forming good relationships with other adults for support; new ideas; and simply having more fun.
